"I want to highlight the role of chips in Swedish culture and show how they have become an integral part of our lives. Saturday candy has long been a beloved tradition in Sweden, but chips have, in their own way, emerged as an equally important part of our snack culture – a treat enjoyed at home, in stores, and during festive occasions. Through research, practice, and creation, I aim to map out the history and significance of chips in Sweden and present it through a humorous art project.

This crispy snack is bigger than ever, and I’m sure many share my love for chips. The addictive saltiness and crunch, combined with memorable and often humorous commercials, have made chips not only a taste experience but also a cultural icon. Today, the latest chip flavor is almost always a guaranteed pick in the shopping cart, and we even have Sweden’s first people’s choice chip as part of our cultural history.

My goal is to celebrate chips through art. I want to present this beloved snack through drawings, sculptures, collages, installations, and video works. The exhibitions will not only highlight the history of chips but also invite visitors to reflect on their humorous and social role – and of course, to eat them!"

Shoutout to Estrella for sponsoring this art project, preach!
